Ever see the stars while hiking? If you stare long enough into the sky, nature will give you a stunning light show in the sky. These photos took 15 hours to capture but you can enjoy them in seconds!
Australian photographer Lincoln Harrison provides us with photos of the night sky that are quite unique and amazing. He takes these photos while hiking using long exposure star trail photography.
Taking Star Trail Photography
Some of his shots takes up to 15 hours to shoot. He utilizes a Nikon D3100 to take the pictures. This camera is one that everyone can enjoy in daily life. It’s beautiful, easy operation and takes full HD movies.
Lincoln used his camera initially to take pictures of things he wanted to sell on eBay. But now, he uses it uses this camera for the starry sky and gets some amazing results.
“I wasn’t planning on getting into photography as a hobby but a week later I had about eight lenses and all the other goodies, I couldn’t wait to get started. I’ve been shooting at least two or three times a week ever since, mainly landscapes, and star trails when the conditions are right.” The night sky has never looked so magical says Lincoln.
